Purpose of Position:
Provide Nuclear Valve technical, applications, and product support for New (Nuclear) Plant Construction Projects, to the Reactor Suppliers, their designated Architectural Engineer’s, and End Users.
Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
• Support in the analysis and application of each product opportunity.
• Develop Crane’s overall positioning, pricing, margins, and competitor analysis on each opportunity.
• Communicate with other departments to complete project and assignment deadlines in areas such as new application development, product costing, and product qualification testing, etc.
• Provide product application sizing and design assistance to the Sales Team.
• Interpret specifications and provide Sales Team with product selection guidance.
• Assist Sales Team in developing favorable Specifications at Reactor Suppliers, Architect Engineer’s, and End Users.
• Assist NPC Sales Team in developing project-specific product strategies.
• Assist NPC Sales Team in diagnosing and resolving customer product and application problems.
• Evaluate and recommend product upgrades and new product development based on customer input.
• Maintain and develop, in conjunction with Marketing, Product Catalogs.
• Maintain and develop, in conjunction with Marketing, Sales Literature.
• Participate in Operational Excellence Lean and Kaizen activities as required.
- Requirements:
Required Experience and/or Education:
• BSME or equivalent technical degree
• 5 or more years experience in engineering and/or application of valves
• Ability to plan complex projects and coordinate resources to complete assignments on schedule.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Able to work effectively in a Team environment
• Good customer relations, communication and presentation skills
• Self-directed and organized with a strong work ethic
• Will be required to travel domestic and internationally approximately 30%- 40%
• Strong PC skills, especially Office Suite: Excel, Access and Word
